To Orlando from San Francisco

Let’s Celebrate how #LoveWins

City Hall lights up in preparation for SF Pride Week 2016

Within the next few days, thousands from around the world will flock to San Francisco’s Financial District for the 46th annual Pride Celebration and Parade: for Racial and Economic Justice. The nation’s largest gathering of LGBT and enthusiastic revelers will once again showcase the most eclectic personalities, pasties, stilts, and everything like whoa! in between.

Dress yourself up or strip yourself down; free your inner glory and get your rainbow bright merriment ON.

That’s because San Francisco sure knows how to throw a party!

In 2015, Pride celebrated a 5–4 Supreme Court ruling that #LoveWins, allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry.

In 2016, we remember Orlando.

From the city of 49ers to the 49 who have fallen and the 53 who carry on after a heinous act, Pride everywhere celebrates you, Orlando, and everyone who has ever felt ostracized for their personal choices.

Wayward ideologies can try as they may to tear people down, but in the end, Love always Wins.

And no one should underestimate the resilience of the rainbow flag (snaps fingers in “Z” formation).

If you are traveling to San Francisco this weekend to partake in the jubilation to come, welcome! Discover yet another reason why SF is great!
