The Best Tips for Spending the Holidays at Disney

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No wonder families are flocking to the most magical place in the world – Disney!  There are more events than we can even name at all the Disney parks this time of year. Don’t stress out about what to see or where to go, we’ve narrowed it down to a couple of our favorite must-see attractions this Holiday Season!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom

While the whole park is dressed in its Holiday best, it is important to note that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separate celebration from the general admission tickets.  On these days, normal park hours end at 6pm and the Christmas Party is from 7pm-midnight (although ticket holders can enter the park as early as 4pm). So many things to see in so little time requires quite a bit of planning.  We recommend planning around the best part, the parades! Believe it or not, by some dose of magic, snow falls on the Disney streets before each and every parade. Grab yourself some free cookies and hot chocolate and get ready for a treat you won’t soon forget.  Parades, shows, Christmas themed rides, and Christmasy characters are all waiting for you at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

Decoration Exploration

Throughout the park and at hotels nearby, the entire atmosphere is dripping in holiday cheer.  And the best of the best are located right on site. Cast members at Disney’s Contemporary Resort dream up a fantastic chocolate display every year that would impress Willy Wonka himself! Stop by this year to see what confectionery collection they have cooked up for your enjoyment.  If you’re looking for a less edible arrangement, stop by Disney’s Wilderness Resort for a dazzling Christmas tree that’s so tall, I heard it took a team of magic fairies to get the star on top! To bring a little holiday cheer back to your neck of the woods, Disney’s Days of Christmas (located in Disney Springs) has the most magnificent collection of ornaments.  If souvenirs are on your list, this is the place to visit!
